J. R. Nerat
Independent Consulting Partner

J. R. Nerat is vice president and technical director for a fire protection training and consulting firm based in Wallace, Michigan. He is an internationally recognized fire protection expert and an independent consulting partner with PetroSafe Technologies, Inc. Mr. Nerat‘s extensive background, experience, and association within the fire protection industry is highly regarded and he is often called upon as an expert witness in cases related to fire protection system operation and/or failure. He is a Certified “Senior Instructor” with more than 18 years of service at the Texas A&M University Industrial Fire Training School. Mr. Nerat is actively involved in the NFPA standards process and serves as a voting member on five NFPA Technical Committees.
