Description: NOTE - PREREQUISIT: Anyone registering to participate in this program must be recognized by facility management to be a trained and qualified Leader/Officer within their respective emergency response organization.

This 2-day, 16-hour Petroleum and Chemical Industry specific On-Scene Safety Officer Certification Program is designed to meet the requirements of OSHA 1910.120(q) for experienced and qualified emergency response team Leaders/Officers that may be assigned to the Incident Safety Officer position at the scene of an industrial emergency. This NIMS-ICS based training program is consistent with standards established by the NIMS Integration Center and FEMA National Standard Curriculum Training and Development Guidance. Program topics include:

• NFPA 1521- An Industrial Perspective
